Why you will love it
Used in aromatherapy:
- Supports the nervous system to soothe and relieve anxiety, stress, nervousness and lethargy. Improves mood and confidence, and imparts strength and tranquillity;
- Prepares the body for sleep by slowing the heart rate and lowering blood pressure, and preventing negative thoughts. Ensures a speedier and deeper sleep, and alleviates sleep disorders;
- Relieves respiratory conditions and deters excessive coughing. Promotes easier breathing by loosening phlegm and mucus. Fights bacteria and viruses. Reduces a fever;
- Stimulates the metabolism by increasing the fluids and hormones needed to aid digestion and for optimum nutrient absorption. Regulates bowel movements;
- Eliminates unpleasant odours and airborne pathogens, and creates a relaxing atmosphere.
Applied Topically:
- Cleanses and strengthens the skin to achieve evenly toned, glowing and healthy skin;
- Relieves inflammatory skin diseases such as psoriasis and rosacea. Balances sebum levels to reduce dryness, destroys bacteria, promotes healing and reduces stress which can trigger an outbreak;
- Antibacterial properties treat skin infections such as acne, warts, cysts and boils. Balances sebum production, cleanses the pores, and evens the skin tone;
- Stimulates cell renewal to reduce the appearance of scars, blemishes and pigmentation;
- helps care for minor skin afflictions such as cuts, scratches and bug bites, facilitates faster wound healing and disinfects wounds to prevent sepsis;
- Remedies fungal infections;
- Stimulates hormones to reduce pain and nerve sensitivity, relieves headaches, muscle aches and pulls, sprains, joint pain and more;
- Eliminates the bacteria that causes body odour;
- Eases digestive discomfort, such as stomach cramps when massaged onto the stomach (in a clockwise direction);
- Promotes scalp health, improves blood circulation to the follicles to stimulate growth. Improves hair texture and adds shine to revitalise dull and lifeless hair. As a stress reliever may prevent hair loss or fall and premature greying.
Note: Essential oils are extremely potent and must always be diluted in a natural oil (such as almond, coconut, grape seed, jojoba oil) before application to the skin, scalp or hair). Ratio: 1 drop to 5ml oil. Do not ingest.
